YOUR FILES
Your files and privacy
Updated 3 October 2026.
Files stay on your device
PDF Workbench, Image Workbench and Image Stitch process the files you choose in your browser. The tools do not send your PDFs, images, filenames or editing settings to our server. Opening a tool downloads the code it needs. Closing or refreshing the tab clears unsaved work.
Website visits
We use Cloudflare to host these sites and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits and page performance where it is enabled. Web Analytics does not use tracking cookies. Cloudflare receives normal web request information when you visit. Read Cloudflare’s description of Web Analytics for details.
Tool usage counts
When a tool creates an export, it may send a short action name, such as “PDF split”, to our usage counter. We store a daily total for each action. This table has no files, filenames, IP addresses, browser identifiers or individual visitor records. Counts older than 90 days are removed when the counter next receives an event.
These counters do not use cookies or local storage. They respect your browser’s Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Blocking a counter request does not stop the tools from working. Counts can include repeat use and automated traffic; they are not a count of individual people.
Emails and desktop applications
If you email us, your email address and message are received through Gmail. Send only what we need to help you. You do not need to attach your documents to request a Windows desktop application.
